Morphometry Driven Profiling - On the Patient Specific Use of HPC Resources#

Johannes Gebert (HLRS)

Abstract#

Climate and supply concerns imply a need to use available computing resources sustainably. An approach worth considering is exploiting domain-specific characteristics, e.g., the morphometry of human bones, for which key metrics describe their computational effort. However, potential energy savings derived by morphometric measures can be overcompensated by the performance characteristics of the computer used. The talk will give a comprehensive overview of the possibilities and limits of the dataset-driven computing approach.
