Virtual and Augmented Reality in Real Applications#

Abstract#
This presentation will give an overview over the visualization systems COVISE and Vistle and present a number current applications of these systems in various fields such as Digital urban twins, collaborative Digital twins of additive manufacturing- and tool-machines. Other applications will show how in situ simulations, Augmented- and Virtual Reality can be combined to implement interactive simulations to optimize operating rooms in hospitals. It will conclude with a outlook on work within the STARTS regional hub which brings together artists and scientists and will provide a new look at scientific visualization.
