The 21st Workshop on
Sustained Simulation Performance
February 18-19, 2015 /
Sendai, Japan
Toward Future HPC Technologies
Tohoku University, Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC), High Performance Computing Center Stuttgart (HLRS), and NEC Corporation are pleased to announce that the 21st Workshop on Sustained Performance Simulation (WSSP) will be held in Feb. 18th and 19th, 2015 in Sendai, Miyagi, Japan. The purpose of the workshop is to discuss future supercomputers, through the latest research efforts in large-scale computing with high performance and high efficiency.
Famous HPC researchers are invited to the workshop. They give us interesting talks about their research activities. Especially, as reports on collaborative research between JAMSTEC and Tohoku University, researchers from these two institutes present the research efforts in disaster prevention and mitigation with supercomputers.
We are looking forward to seeing you in the workshop.
In the workshop, two keynote talks are scheduled for the keynote sessions. The details of the keynote talks
Attractive talks by international HPC researchers are also planned.
Talks of supercomputers related with disaster prevention and elimination are also scheduled. HPC researchers from JAMSTEC give us talks about present and next-generation Earth Simulator. The details of the JAMSTEC presentations Also, a researcher from Tohoku University/NEC Corporation gives us a talk about the real-time tsunami prediction using supercomputers.
After the workshop, we plan a tour around the new supercomputing system and its building of Cyberscience Center. We are glad if you join us.
