Directions to Sendai
The nearest airport is the Sendai airport. There are domestic flights to the airport from main cities in Japan (Sapporo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, Okinawa, and others). The airports of these cities have many international flights, and you can connect to the Sendai airport through these airports. The airport is located about 15km south of downtown Sendai. To get downtown, you can take the railway "Sendai Airport Line", which directly connects the airport to the JR Sendai station.
Local public transportation
From the JR Sendai Station, it is convenient to use a bus or a taxi for going to the workshop place. Buses to the workshop place (S710, S713, S715, S719) leave the bus terminal No.9 at the station. The nearest bus stop to the workshop place is "Kogakubu-Chuo" in front of the School of Engineering. The fare is 230 yen for riding a bus from the station to the Kogakubu-Chuo, which should be paid to the fare box around the bus driver when you leave the bus. The fare for riding a taxi from the station to the workshop place around 1600 yen. No tip required in the both cases.
