On the performance of a DNS code for compressible turbulent flows#

Abstract#

Direct numerical simulaitons (DNS) on compressible flows with low Mach number below 0.3 under isothermal condition are carried out for 4,096 grid points on the supercomputer FUGAKU. The present simulaiton code, however, is not well-organized and therfore low performance is achieved. In my presentation, two modified implementations that applied to the calculations of the fast Fourier transform part and a parallel linear solver that is used to compute the first derivatives of convective terms of the Navier-Stokes equations are presented.
